‘Farm Sanctuary: Changing Hearts and Minds about Animals and Food’

ELLSWORTH, Maine — “Farm Sanctuary: Changing Hearts and Minds about Animals and Food” will be presented by Farm Sanctuary president and co-founder, Gene Baur, 7-8:30 p.m. Sunday, June 8, at Unitarian Universalist Church, 121 Bucksport Road.
Peace Ridge Sanctuary, founded in 2001 in Penobscot, will give an overview of the animal advocacy and rescue work it does.
The presentation will be sponsored by the Good Life Center of Harborside as part of the 2014 Nearing Lyceum Speaker Series; and promoted by Peace Ridge Sanctuary, the Institute for Humane Education of Surry, and the Ellsworth Unitarian Universalist Church.
