Family Safety Day

Good Morning Sir,

On Saturday April 20th, at Campbell’s ATA Black Belt Acdemy, 33 School Street, will be hosting an all day “Family Safety Fair”. This is a free event and is open to the public. We are pleased to announce that participating in our Safety Fair will be:

Mr. Greg Mitchell, a Career Police Officer, Tactical Team member and a Marine Veteran. He will be doing an “Anti-Abduction Concepts” presentation.

Mr. Bill Mitchell, a 28 year Law Enforcement veteran, and employed by the Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit. His presentation will be “Cyber Safety”.

Ron Campbell, 3rd degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and school owner, will provide an introduction to the “Olweus Anti-Bulling Program”.

Mrs. Shelli Tourtillotte, formerly Fire Safety Officer with Bangor Fire Department and now of the Orrington Fire Department, will have a “Fire Safety” presentation.

Autism Speaks will have a display and discuss how Martial Arts has proven to be helpful to those with autism.

The Freemasons will have their Child identification kits available, consisting of fingerprinting, DNA swab and data sheet. All information will be placed on a CD for the parents.

Penobscot County Sheriffs Department will also be providing an Iris scan for all children over the age of 5. They will be on the premises from 9 am until 1 pm.

There will be additional presenters as well. There will be many giveaways and specials and doorprizes throughout the day.
