There will be Family Fun Horse Show, on Saturday, June 8, 2013 to be held at the Pembroke Fairgrounds, Pembroke, Maine. Proceeds will benefit the First Light Farm Equine Shelter. Rain date June 9.
This show is all about fun as well as promoting good horsemanship and good sportsmanship. No fancy togs, no fancy tack. Just good ol’ fashioned fun. Proper boots and helmets for riders 17 and under are required.
We want to riders of all ages and experience levels to come out for some friendly, and sometimes, silly competition.
There will be a class called FREE STYLE — you have 60seconds to strut your stuff for the judge. It could be a choreographed pattern to music, a barrel or pole run, dressage routine, tricks, reining horse… whatever? Driving? mini horse cuteness… use your imagination!
Entry for the day is $25 per rider, or $5 per class. If you are showing more than one horse, you must submit a separate entry fee for each horse.
There is no admission for spectators. Please come out and watch the fun. There is even a non-horseback race for anyone to participate! The Stick Horse Boot Race is sure to be a lot of fun!
The food booth will be open serving hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries and fried dough.
