EMHS executive elected to board of the National Association of Home Care and Hospice

 BREWER, Maine —  The CEO and president of Eastern Maine HomeCare has been elected to the board of the National Association of Home Care and Hospice. Lisa Harvey-McPherson, RN, MBA, MPPM, who is also the vice president of continuum-of-care for EMHS, has started her term as a member of the board to NAHC on January 1, 2014.

“This is a great opportunity to be a part of the national conversation regarding home care and hospice,” said Lisa Harvey-McPherson, in a press release. “The U.S. Census documents that Maine has one of the oldest populations in the country. Demand for home care and hospice will continue to increase as our population ages.”

The NAHC serves as a unified voice for home care and hospice community in the U.S.. The summarized mission of the NAHC is to bring “health care back home where it belongs.” The NAHC board oversees the governance of the association and its board members represent a full spectrum of home care and hospice leadership throughout the nation.
