Artist Bill Woodman is a native Maine artist born in Bangor Maine. Bill spent four decades working in New York as a freelance cartoonist and his work has appeared in many publications including The New Yorker and Playboy. He is still active in cartooning and is in Downeast magazine regularly. He is also an accomplished plein-air painter and small sculpture artist. His displays of assemblages in the library cases are whimsical and fun. Bill and Patti Hurd collaborate their skills and work together on the same canvas in this show. Woodman’s sense of animal forms emerge through Hurd’s atmospheric colors.
