Eggs and Issues at Machias will tackle the digital marketplace

MACHIAS, Maine — Experts in using the digital marketplace – eBay, Etsy, Facebook and other venues – will discuss the topic at the next Machias Bay Chamber of Commerce sponsored Eggs and Issues event.

“Competing in the Digital Marketplace” will be held at 7 a.m. Wednesday, February 19, at Helen’s Restaurant.

The speakers will be Dawn Lamoureaux Gooch of East Machias who has operated Baahurrah Farm LLC since 2009. Gooch markets cold process soap, lip balm and lotion made in small batches her farm, as well as hand dyed, hand spun yarns and roving. She also markets antiques and other items through her Etsy store.

Speaker Ryan Malagara is the owner/operator of the It/ebay Store in Machias since 2005. Malagara specializes in using the Internet for ebay and Amazon sales and purchases. He provides complete ebay sales services, starting with researching the listing price to sending the customer the check.

Speaker Jesse Perez Robicheau teaches a Facebook marketing class through Axiom Technologies in Machias.

Also, Brian Mulligan of the Maine Department of Economic Development will speak on the importance of marketing with the “Made in Maine” designation.
