Vejibag’s Sack Sisters invite you to join them for a party celebrating the launch of their cottage industry making produce storage bags that preserve freshness for a week or more and end the problem of slimy, wasted vegetables. The party is this Saturday, March 16, from 4-6 pm at the Eastport Arts Center, 36 Washington Street. The program includes a video and give-away “raffle” as well as a feast of local appetizers and sweets from Eastport restaurants and Washington county farms, and opportunities to buy premium Vejibags as well as seconds and discontinued styles at huge savings. In addition, Sally Erickson, the founder of Vejibag will talk about local economy and the power of community. The public, near and far are invited.
