Eastern Tire Inc. in Rockland will donate $5 to Georges River Land Trust for every Michelin tire sold between 8/22 and 9/24. “We are so grateful to Eastern Tire for their long term commitment to local conservation through generous sponsorships, innovative fundraisers like this, and volunteer service,” said Gail Presley, Georges River Land Trust Executive Director.

“It’s a great time to get those new snow tires for winter when your purchase will also give the gift of conservation,” said Alvin Chase, owner of Eastern Tire. Eastern Tire is a community-oriented business, and has been a sponsor of the Georges River Land Trust’s annual Garden Tour and upcoming Putt for the Path golf tournament on September 14. Sign ups for single players or teams are open at http://www.georgesriver.org/event/putt-for-the-path-golf-tournament/.

The Georges River Land Trust works with landowners and communities to conserve wildlife habitat, river frontage, farms and other special places in the St. George River watershed in Knox and Waldo counties. Eastern Tire Inc. has provided quality tires and auto repairs to the midcoast for 65 years. Eastern Tire is located at 70 Park St. in Rockland and can be reached at 594-5250.
