David Middleton an award winning photographer, teacher and author based in Vermont will speak at the Eastern Maine Camera Club on March 7th at 6:30 pm. He has been a professional photographer for 30 years and has taught over 200 photography workshops. David is a Contributing Editor of Outdoor Photography Magazine. His talk, THE LOBSTERING LIFE, is based on his book of the same title. He will talk about the creative process, the practical aspects of figuring out what to photograph, how to find the subjects and also his behind the scene stories of getting the pictures. David will share what it is like to photograph all day on a lobster boat. The meeting at 647 Main St at the Bangor Parks and Rec building is open to the public.
On Saturday, March 9th Bangor area photographers have an unique opportunity. David Middleton, award winning photographer, teacher and author based in Vermont will give a day long workshop at Dysart’s
1110 Broadway (corner of Broadway and Griffin Rd). The theme will be “Taking Your Photography to the Next Level”. Why is it good for your creative soul and your photography to tell a story with your images? When you tell a story your photography improves dramatically and becomes more interesting. Your images become distinctive and unique.
David will also give a behind the scenes look at his latest book, MAINE MEMORIES.
He has been a professional photographer for 30 years and has taught over 200 photography workshops. His travels and 150 photo tours have taken him to the US, Canada, Central and South America, South Africa and Australia.
In the afternoon he will critique images. Each participant may email 2 JPEG images to: info @easternmainecameraclub.org. Also see this site for further information and registration. This workshop is open to the public.
The workshop will be 9-12am and 1-3:30pm. The cost is $40 and lunch will be catered by Dysarts for an additional $10.
