E-readers to try out at the Pittsfield Public Library

The Pittsfield Public Library will have a “technology petting zoo” of e-readers and tablets for you to try out at the library from December 3-9. Devices available will be e-readers Nook SimpleTouch and Kindle PaperWhite and tablets Kindle Fire, Apple iPad Mini, Nook HD+, and Google Nexus.

Many people are making the leap from pages to e-reader or are looking for the right Christmas gift to give or receive. Jared Leadbetter from the Maine State Library will be presenting a class at the Pittsfield Public Library in how to choose and use an e-Reader, featuring the Kindle Paperwhite and the Nook Simple Touch. You can also learn how to get free books from the Maine Infonet Download Library. Bring your questions and any e-reader you already own to the Pittsfield Public Library Tuesday, December 3 from 12:00 – 1:00
