Driving: When is it time to give up the keys?

The Alzheimer’s Association, Maine Chapter will present the free workshop Driving: When is it time to give up the keys? on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. at Dirigo Pines on Alumni Drive in Orono.

This free program is for families and individuals who are dealing with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia. Ideally, families should talk openly about driving soon after a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s. Making a decision about when is it time to stop driving can be difficult, but dealing with the issue early on can help eases the transition. This program will offer strategies for having the conversation about driving.
