Posted July 08, 2013, at 12:31 p.m.

LINCOLNVILLE BEACH, Maine — Drawing is one artistic endeavor that everyone has tried at one time or another, whether as doodling or as a more focused effort like sketching. A drawing workshop with Sandi Cirillo will be held 5-7 p.m. Thursday, July 11, at Beyond the Sea Gallery at Lincolnville Beach.

In the first hour of this class, participants will explore different aspects of drawing using a variety of materials supplied by the instructor. Then participants will go outside to do some observational drawing using Lincolnville Beach and surrounding area as  inspiration. Please dress accordingly for going outside. It is always cooler at the beach, and you may want to bring something to sit on. If it is pouring rain out, then we shall have the second half of the class inside. All materials will be supplied for this class, just bring your enthusiasm and eagerness to learn.

Sandi Cirillo, a retired art educator, currently lives in Searsport. She also teaches fiber art classes in addition to drawing, and her fiber art will be on exhibit in the Beyond the Sea Gallery.

Fee for the workshop is $35.00. Minimum class size six; maximum 12. To register please telephone or email or telephone Nanette, at Beyond the Sea http://www.Facebook.com/BeyondTheSeaMaine; 207-789-5555; Info@BeyondTheSeaMaine.com
