Dr. Anatole Wieck to play at UUSB’s Sunday Service

On Sunday, March 17, at 10:00 am, the Sunday Service at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Bangor will be enhanced by the music of Dr. Anatole Wieck who will be playing Vocalise by Nikolai Rakov and Bartok’s Rumanian Dances. Dr. Wieck teaches violin and viola at UMaine’s School of Performing Arts and conducts the University of Maine Chamber Orchestra. Born in Latvia, Prof. Wieck received his early musical training in Riga and Moscow. In 1973 he came to the United States to study at the Juilliard School of Music in New York City where he earned his Bachelor, Master and Doctor degrees.

The Sunday service, Giving Voice to our Vision, will feature a sermon by Laurel Amabile, the Annual Program Fund Director for Stewardship and Development of the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations.
