DEATH CAFÉ 2014

The Downeast Death Café has just recently passed its first year anniversary at the Cobs cook Community Learning Center. It has been a very rewarding year and we would like to continue this productive dialog as more people from the community become aware and interested in becoming a part of this international conversation.

During this coming year, Rhonda Welcome and Chuck Kniffen hope to engage our fellow community members in many vital and productive discussions at the monthly Death Café’ meetings. We will use this platform as a common focus from which to develop a shared experience and a unity of purpose while participants swap ideas, theories and personal stories of life and death, both deeply heartfelt and at times humorous, never forgetting that vast field of everything in between. One major goal Death Café is to bring to the fore a more expansive approach to life while developing a genuine respect for death. This year we will be bringing in featured speakers to help lead the discussions.

Our local Downeast Death Café is held on the first Tuesday of every month at 5:30 PM and all are welcome to attend this safe, confidential and very satisfying exchange of thoughts, feelings, doubts and concerns.

For more general information, visit, Deathcafe.com and for local Info, call Chuck or Rhonda at 733-4844 or Valerie Lawson at 733-2233
