MACHIAS, Maine —  The Stephen and Tabitha King Foundation awarded $25,000 to Down East Community Hospital for medical equipment.

These funds came in as a result of a grant request for Emergency Department equipment. “The Emergency Department will purchase equipment that will support building our future and will support the excellent care we continue to give to our community,” said Chief Nursing Officer Charleen Ryan, in a press release.

“The King Foundation has given generously to organizations in Washington County and we are grateful to be a recipient of their benevolence,” Rodney Sparks, MD, said in the press release.
