BRUNSWICK, MAINE – Dine On!, an evening of delicious food, marvelous music, and tempting auction items will usher in the Bowdoin International Music Festival’s season on Tuesday, June 25th. The event raises funds to benefit the Festival’s scholarship program for gifted young artists. Since 2008, Dine On! has generated more than $150,000 for student scholarships; 62% of the 250 students attending the Festival this summer will receive some financial aid.
Dine On begins with cocktails at 5:30 pm followed by dinner, performances by Festival students, and a live auction led by Mike Fear of Bath’s “Now You’re Cooking.” Tickets to the limited-seating event are $150 per person. Dinner will be followed by a signature dessert prepared by The James Beard Foundation award-winning chef, Sam Hayward, of Portland’s legendary Fore Street. Dine On! will take place at Moulton Union on the Bowdoin College campus.
Auction items will appeal to discriminating bidders who love classical music and fabulous food. Options include private catered recitals with Festival musicians, wine tastings, marvelous meals (including dinner for 12 prepared by Mr. Hayward in your home), dinner for ten and an overnight stay for the hosts at The Brunswick Inn, and exclusive experiences at The Metropolitan Opera, New York Philharmonic, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
