AUGUSTA, Maine — The Maine Department of Corrections has announced the promotion of Roy Curtis to MDOC Regional Correctional Manager, Region III, Juvenile Community.
“The Maine Department of Corrections is pleased to announce the promotion of Roy Curtis to the position of Regional Correctional Manager for Region III – Juvenile Community,” said MDOC Regional Correctional Administrator David M. Barrett, in a press release.
Roy has more than 16 years’ experience working as a Juvenile Community Corrections Officer. For the past 10 years Roy has served as a JCCO in Waldo County. Roy received a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology from the University of Southern Maine in 1997.
In addition to Roy’s extensive experience as a JCCO he has also been directly involved in the Mid-Coast Restorative Justice Project as a trained facilitator. Roy has served as an active member of the Sexual Behavioral Specialists Team for Juvenile Corrections.
Roy will be serving as Regional Correctional Manager for Hancock, Southern Penobscot, Waldo, and Somerset County.
