We are please to announce that Gregory Young has been selected to be

recognized as an outstanding landowner at the Maine Department of

Inland Fisheries & Wildlife Landowner/Land User of the Year at the

Awards Ceremony on October 16th. Hutch and Roger accepted Greg’s

award. Greg has always been a supportive member of the town and

snowmobile club. One end of the snowmobile club’s new 40-foot bridge

is on his property. The bridge was dedicated to him as “Young’s

Crossing” this past winter. He also deeded 17 acres of his land along

the former B & A railroad bed right a way in Shirley to the Shirley

Bog Trail Busters. Thank-you and congratulations Greg!
