Deb Rainey joins Broadreach Family & Community Services

BELFAST, MAINE – Kate Quinn Finlay, Executive Director of Broadreach Family & Community Services, is pleased to announce that Deb Rainey has accepted the position of Quality Assurance Specialist for the agency’s Early Childhood Programs. Deb Rainey will have management responsibility for overseeing the agency’s early childhood community partnerships, assuring best practice inclusive programming and assuring implementation of early childhood curricula.

Deb Rainey is an Early Childhood Specialist with over 25 years experience in early care and education. She earned a degree in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Maine in Farmington and an M.Ed in Early Intervention from the University of Maine in Orono. She has worked with young children and families in a variety of settings and programs. Most recently Deb has provided consultation, coaching and training for early care professionals to support the inclusion of all children in community programs. She has written curriculum for Maine Roads To Quality on Inclusive practice and received training certification in the Program for Infant Toddler Care (PITC). Deb has presented at several national conferences for National Association for the Education of Young Children, Division of Early Childhood and Zero to Three on inclusive proactices. Deb is committed to the field of early childhood education/early childhood special education and keeps current with best practice and evidence based methods to meet the needs of all young children and their families.

Broadreach’s Early Childhood Services prepares young children for a lifetime of learning success with high-quality education, early intervention and childcare programs. Broadreach early childhood classrooms are located in public school and community settings throughout Waldo and Knox County, are nationally accredited and taught by state-certified early childhood teachers. Broadreach early childhood classrooms include public pre-Kindergarten programs in collaboration with RSUs 3 and 20, and collaborative Head Start classrooms at Mid-Coast Children’s Services in Rockland.
