CASTINE, Maine — The Castine Historical Society will show objects and documents recently added to its collections from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, at a meeting open to members and the general public.
A wide variety of intriguing items including letters, quilts, maps, artwork, photographs and tools are received each year for preservation. This program offers the opportunity for everyone to examine the new acquisitions. CHS Curator Paige Lilly will tell what she knows about these materials and invite participants to share their knowledge and ideas.
The event is free and open to the public and takes place in the exhibition hall of the historical society’s Abbott School building at 17 School St. on the town common in Castine. For more information, call CHS at 326-4118 or email email@example.com.
