Belfast-In celebration of the arts and the art of farming, the Belfast Creative Coalition has partnered with the Maine Farmland Trust to create “Cultivate: Belfast Area Farm and Arts Trail”.
‘Cultivate’ identifies artists’ studios, galleries, cultural organizations and farms in the Belfast area that are open year round as day trip destinations. It also highlights the growing hiking and bike trail system that runs throughout Waldo County.

Save the date for Cultivate’s Columbus Day weekend farm and art studio celebration tour. On October 12 & 13, from 10-4pm, Cultivate will have an open studio and farm tour with special workshops and demonstrations. Bring your family and visit farms, artists’ working in their studios, see a forging demonstration, or learn how to make cheese.
A preview party will be held at the Belfast Boat House on September 12th, 5:30-7pm. Stop by, pick up maps, sample wares, view the art and farm products on the trail and plan your October tour.
