Geri Vistein is a Conservation Biologist whose focus is carnivores and their vital role in maintaining the biodiversity of our planet, particularly the coyote. Her presentation, “COYOTE ~ AMERICA’S SONGDOG” is a Powerpoint presentation, in which she invites the audience to participate, share their stories and ask questions. Geri’s presentation comes from a very positive place, bringing in anthropology, archeology, Native American life, poetry, human psychology, wildlife science, animal husbandry and more. People have many stories and many questions regarding coyotes. She focuses her work on educating our Maine community about these fascinating animals, and how we can coexist with them. The program begins at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1st at the Jesup Memorial Library. For additional information you can contact the library at 207-288-4245 or check the libraries website at www.jesup.lib.me.us.
