BAR HARBOR – The Jesup Memorial Library kicks off its winter concert series with a virtuoso display of tight harmonies by The Chickadees, a five-member girl group from MDI that sings songs from the 1940s and ‘50s.

Their performance is set for Sunday, Jan. 13, beginning at 2 p.m. The show is free, though donations to the library are always appreciated.

“We love singing beautiful music with gorgeous harmonies,” said group member Danielle Shepard, “and we love being sisters bonded by our passion for singing. We also love the hi-jinx that inevitably ensue when you get five high-spirited girls together!”

For more information, visit the library’s Facebook page, call 288-4245 or e-mail mrice@jesuplibrary.org.
