CAMDEN, Maine — The Community Schools at Opportunity Farm and Camden will host their spring open house 4-6 p.m. Thursday, March 28, at their Camden campus.
Students will lead tours of the school, serve their homemade bread and other treats, display their artwork and show photographs of their recent trip to New York City. Staff will be on hand to answer questions, and two tickets to Dancing with Local Stars will be raffled as a door prize.
The Community Schools offer a nine-month residential program for students who have not found success in traditional school settings, and a home-based Passages Program for teen parents.
Both programs help students discover their strengths, connect with their families, practice personal responsibility, contribute to their communities and graduate with their high school diplomas. This year, the schools are serving 65 students from throughout Maine.
