An Entertainment Packed Week at the 41st Central Maine Egg Festival
If you like music, the 41st Central Maine Egg Festival is the place to be for the week of Monday, July 15 – Saturday, July 20, 2013. Musical performances start on Monday, July 15 at Hathorn Park off Somerset Avenue coming into downtown Pittsfield. The Dexter Community Band will play from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at the newly renovated Gazebo. From 7:30 – 9:00 pm, The Shrine Band will then perform. This is a beautiful location. Bring your lawn chairs and have a wonderful time listening to music in a relaxing park setting.
On Tuesday evening, July 16 at the Municipal Parking Lot by the Fire Station is the traditional Street Dance from 7:00 – 10:00 pm. Always a great time with a lot of music. Meet your friends for social time and dancing or bring your children to listen to Rockin Rod’s DJ Service and some great music.
On Wednesday evening, July 17, the Egg Festival moves back to Hathorn Park with some exciting music by three live bands. From 6;00 – 7:00 pm, Steve Peterson & Friends will play at the Gazebo. Riff Johnson will play from 7:00 – 8:00 pm and then The Resistance will be on from 8:00 – 9:00 pm. Bring your lawn chair and listen to some fine tunes or come prepared to dance the night away.
Thursday evening – Saturday afternoon, there will be performance after performance at the Entertainment tent at Manson Park starting will some of your favorites: Thursday, July 18 The Dexter Community Band will play from 6:00 – 7:30 pm followed by The Shrine Band from 7:30 – 9:00 pm.
Friday, July 19 at 5:30 pm, Tumbling Bones will perform in the Entertainment Tent until 7:30 pm. Sound and Vice will then perform in the Entertainment tent from 7:30 – 9:30 pm. Saturday, July 20 will be music..music..and more music starting with The Magic of Conjurng Carroll located in the Children’s Tent from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm; the Sebasticook Valley Community Band will perform in the Entertainment tent from 12:00 noon – 1:00 pm; Aaron McCannell performing Children’s Songs in the Children’s Area from 12:00 noon – 1:00 pm; and The Wildwoods Band performing in the Entertainment Tent from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. The Entertainment Tent at Manson Park will be booming with sound at 3:00 pm when Boom Bang Twang takes the stage until 4:00 pm. There will be Open Mic from 4:00 – 5:00 pm in the Entertainment Tent for aspiring singers and songwriters as well as those who like to have a good time singing.
From 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Zevulon will perform. The Resistance will be the last act for the 41st Egg Festival playing from 7:00 – 9:15 pm in the Entertainment Tent.
Make sure to stop by Hathorn Park, visit with your friends and hear some great music Monday and Wednesday of Egg Festival Week; drop by the Street Dance on Tuesday Evening and then head down to Manson Park for three packed evenings of entertainment on Thursday – Saturday of Egg Festival. One great week of really good musical performances!
