Cold Comfort Theater Auditions for Tintypes; follow-up audition for The Miracle Worker

TINTYPES: A MUSICAL REVUE Auditions: Sunday, May 21, First Baptist Church, upstairs, go through front door, 2-5 p.m. No preparation needed. Come prepared to sing and go through a dance sequence.

Tintypes: a musical revue. Great music, dancing and costumes.

Tintypes will be performed in July, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays with a Sunday rain date, the weeks of July 20/21/22 (rain date, July 23) and July 27/ 28/29 (rain date, July 30).

Outside, Wales Park at top of Main St., Belfast.

Cast requirements:

Many singers and dancers with many solo numbers.  Also, room for mimes, and a large chorus.  We encourage diversity in age, gender and ethnicity.  This is a story, told in song, of the great immigration to the USA from Europe in the late 1800s and early 1900s.  As topical today as it was then.

Colin Graebert, music and vocal director; Grant Richards, choreography; Aynne Ames, stage direction.

We normally rehearse Sundays (staging and dance only) and Mondays and Tuesday evenings.

THE MIRACLE WORKER supplemental auditions: Sunday May 21, First Baptist Church, downstairs vestry, 4:30-5:30 sharp. Cold reading from script. No preparation needed.

The Miracle Worker to be performed in August, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays with a Sunday rain date, the weeks of August 3/4/5 (rain date, August 6) and 10/11/12 (rain date, August 13). Outside, at Wales Park, Belfast; top of Main St., Belfast.

Cast Requirements:

* Needed for The Miracle Worker: No one needs to prepare anything and you won’t be there more than an hour.

Men between ages 40 and 60 for both large and small roles. Southern accent needed

Women: Lead of Annie; 20’s, very physical, large role, Boston Irish accent

Lead of Helen; 8-11, no lines a LOT of stage time and very physical

Small role of servant, Viney

Lead of Mother; 20’s, early 30’s Large, time consuming role

Little boy; 7-8, a few lines

One “good ole’ dawg”

Also can use some back up backstage folks Come at the same time.
