The 2nd Annual Christmas Exhibit, at the Cherryfield Academy Community Center, will be held Dec. 5-8. It is time to start gathering displays from those who would like to put them on loan, just like last year. Last year’s exhibit was a great success with 194 people going through and enjoying the displays. There were nativity scenes, doll houses, trains, stars, angels, models of the old covered bridge etc., decorated trees, a patriotic Christmas area, gingerbread houses, sleds, snowmen and much more. This year we are looking for nativity scenes, doll houses, trains, angels, villages, lighthouses (for the nativity room), decorated sleds, small sleds and snowmen, people, teddy bears etc. for a small scale display of a sliding hill and we welcome creative displays such as patriotic, decorated trees, etc. (I have some specific things in mind if you would like to do one of them). We look forward to the addition of a fairly large train this year!!!! Maybe it will be at the North Pole! If you are interested in loaning a disply, creating a display, putting together a display of ideas already being thought of, loaning artificial greenery etc., being an usher, please contact Cheryl Brown at 812-1880 or e-mail CAtrustees2012@gmail.com We do have some tables available. Work on setting up will begin on Nov. 12, displays are welcome any time after that date but must be in and all set up no later than Nov. 30.
Come enjoy being part of presenting this wonderful “gift” to our community.
