Chamber seeks community opinion on Taste of Waterville new look

WATERVILLE, Maine — Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce is seeking input from the community as it plans the 2014 Taste of Waterville, a day-long family event held downtown each year, for Wednesday, August 6.

Organizers have shortened the name of mid-Maine’s largest outdoor festival and are giving the event a new look to match.  Three proposed logos reflecting the event’s recent name change are available on the event’s Facebook page, which can be found at www.facebook.com/TasteofWaterville, and community members are encouraged to vote for their favorite.

“The Taste is about highlighting all our region has to offer and what makes mid-Maine a great place in which to live, play, and do business,” said Kimberly Lindlof, president & CEO of Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce, in a chamber press release. “We are excited about this year’s updates and – as always – to showcase our area, along with its businesses and organizations, with the event.”

This year will mark the Taste’s 22nd year in downtown Waterville.  The event has grown over the years to include three restaurant sections, entertainment throughout the day, children’s activities, non-food vendors, and a popular beer garden for the 21+ crowd.  Each year, the Taste brings locals and visitors alike downtown to enjoy the region’s best dining.
