BANGOR – The Challenger Learning Center of Maine is holding the second of its series of Family Science Nights for 2014, this time in celebration of International Pi Day, on Friday, March 14, from 6:00 – 7:30 PM. Following the success of its inaugural event in 2013, Challenger will once again engage and challenge participants with a variety of fun pi activities for all ages, set up throughout its unique space-themed facility on Venture Way in Bangor.
Student volunteers from Bangor HS and John Bapst Memorial HS will be on hand to assist. The event is sponsored by The Fitch Company in Bangor. Additional support is being provided by Angelo’s Pizzeria on Hammond Street, which is donating pizza pies for the special event. All proceeds will support Challenger’s mission to inspire Maine students in science, technology, engineering and math education.
