There are lots of activities scheduled every day during the 41st Central Maine Egg Festival.
On Tuesday, drop by the Annual Art Show at the Pittsfield Public Library 10 am – 6 pm and enjoy talking with the artists during the reception from 4 pm – 5 pm at the Library. The Art Show will continue through Friday, July 19th.
Do your children like to draw? Take the family to the Sidewalk Art Contest on Tuesday, July 16 from 3 pm to 6 pm in the United Insurance/Lehr Agency parking lot. Judging begins at 6:00 pm sharp to 6:30 pm. Children in Grades 2 – 8 can participate. Criteria are (1) Use of Eggs; (2) Use of Theme; and (3) Originality. Winners will be announced at the Street Dance.
It may be hot outside but you can not miss the Annual Street Dance on Tuesday, July 16 from 7 pm – 10 pm in the Municipal Parking Lot off Somerset Avenue. Music will be provided by Rokkin’ Rod’s DJ Service. Plenty of food and drinks available on site to be sold by the Pittsfield Fire Department. Come socialize with your friends or bring the family for some tunes.
Egg Festival Books listing events for the remainder of the week are available at the Pittsfield Town Office and participating businesses. The Egg Festival Book is also on-line at www.pittsfield.org under the Egg Festival tab and can be downloaded.
This year’s theme is SP”EGG”TACULAR CIRCUS. Think about your entry for the Big Parade on Saturday, July 20. Make sure to have some Egg-sellent Egg-ventures at the 41st Central Maine Egg Festival!
