The Calais Downtown Revitalization Coalition (CDRC) is sponsoring a presentation on state and federal historic preservation tax credits on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall. This program is free and open to the public.
Amy Cole Ives of Sutherland Conservation & Consulting (SCC) will be in Calais to provide information to anyone interested in these credits. This could be of particular interest to anyone owning property in any of the three historic districts in Calais, as well as participants in the ongoing City of Calais Façade Grant Program which SCC is facilitating.
She will be available the following day, Thursday, Nov. 7, by appointment to address individual inquiries for Facade Grant applicants and Historic District property owners.
Ives is the president of SCC which she formed in 2007 who formerly worked for the Maine Historic Preservation Commission. A Maine native, she received her M.S. in Historic Preservation with a concentration in Architectural Conservation from the University of Pennsylvania.
