CAMDEN, Maine—Caroline Praderio was recently hired as an assistant editor at “Down East: The Magazine of Maine.”
Before accepting the position of assistant editor at Down East, Praderio completed several internships in the publishing industry, including one with “The Improper Bostonian.” Most recently, she was an editorial and social media intern at America’s Test Kitchen in Brookline, Mass., the publisher of “Cook’s Country” and “Cook’s Illustrated” magazines. She is a recent graduate of Emerson College with a B.F.A. in Writing, Literature and Publishing.
In her new role at “Down East,” she will lead the expanding social media efforts in addition to contributing to the print magazine. Editor in Chief Paul Doiron spoke of her addition to the team, saying, “Caroline’s professional social media experience and passion for food and arts writing is a great asset and will benefit our expanding readership online and in print. She is a welcome addition to the “Down East” editorial staff.”
Sharing a few thoughts about joining the team, Praderio said: “I’m excited to be a part of such an established publication. Down East has an award-winning editorial staff, and I plan on working hard to be a part of that success.”
