CAMDEN, Maine — Gregory A. Dufour, president and chief executive officer of Camden National Corp., is pleased to announce that Scott Buckheit has been named senior vice president and senior technology officer, information technology and loan servicing.
Buckheit is based in the Camden National operations center in Rockport and is responsible for managing the efforts of the information technology department as well as assisting with management of the loan servicing division. He reports to Peter Greene, executive vice president, operations and technology for Camden National Corp.
“As a member of the information technology and loan servicing team, I thrive on the opportunity to work with fellow-stakeholders across the company as we strive to make Camden National the best it can be for our customers,” said Buckheit.
Buckheit began his career with Camden National in 2006 as senior operations officer, vice president, loan servicing and facilities. He has 24 years of information technology, teleservicing, operations and project management experience, having worked at Wright Express Corp., MBNA America, and AT&T Network Systems prior to joining Camden National.
“Scott is a high-performing individual who is committed to doing whatever needs to be done to best serve our internal team and, ultimately, our customers,” said Dufour. “Scott was one of the key members of the team that oversaw the acquisition and conversion of branches we acquired in October 2012, and he brought great insight and leadership to the project.”
In 2012, Buckheit was recognized as the company’s “Officer of the Year Award” for his innovative approach, ability to keep projects moving forward, exemplary work ethic and a commitment to helping others both within the company and in his community. This followed receipt in 2010 of the company’s “Commitment to the Employee” award for his implementation of efficiencies and processes that allowed employees to work at a higher level.
Buckheit holds a bachelor’s degree from Bucknell University in political science. He is member of the board of the Maine Technology Users Group and coaches girls JV soccer at Camden Hills Regional High School. He lives in Camden, Maine, with his wife and two children.
“Scott has continually demonstrated his leadership talents and willingness to roll up his sleeves while taking on new challenges,” said Greene. “This promotion is a reflection of his hard work and dedication to our company—attributes which have clearly led to his success in every new project he has taken on here.”
