Calais Regional Hospital welcomed the first baby of the new year on January 2, 2013. Bentley Jaxon Smith arrived at 1:42 p.m. weighing 7 lbs. 2 oz. Proud parents are Samantha Meserve and Dwight Smith of Baileyville. Baby Bentley was presented with a gift and flowers from the hospital by CEO Michael Lally and a basket of books from Maine Books for Maine Kids. Congratulations to the new parents.
