The annual Brooks Community Day will be held on Saturday, May 25th with various events throughout town.
The day kicks off at 9am with the first outdoor Brooks Farmers’ Market of the season. The market is held each Saturday at the Brooks Town Hall from 9am to 1pm. Featured products include organic spring vegetables, locally-raised pork, chicken, and beef, and freshly-made sweet and savory baked goods.
The Brooks Fire Department will hold a car wash from 9am to 1pm at the fire station. All free-will donations will go toward new rescue equipment.
A town-wide yard sale will also take place throughout the day at residences across Brooks.
From 1-5pm, ten organizations will participate in Pies on Parade, where pie and other tasty samples will be available at Ralph’s Cafe, Stone Fox Creamery, Camp Forest, Roaring Acres Ceramics, the Brooks Grange Hall, the Marsh River Theater, the Brooks Congregational Church Thrift Store, Sizzling Sun Food Truck, the Brooks Historical Society, and the Brooks Park Boosters. Tickets for the event are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. All proceeds will go towards this year’s 4th of July fireworks. Tickets can be purchased at Ralph’s Café, located at 12 Veterans Highway.
The day concludes at the Marsh River Theater, located at 24 Monroe Highway (Route 139), where Voices Unlimited performs at 7:30pm.
