ROCKPORT, Maine — Maine Media Workshops + College will hold a grand opening for its new studio for book arts and alternative process photography 3-5 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at 70 Camden St.
The grand opening will include an open studio with letter press, book binding and alternative photographic process demonstrations. A dedication and keynote address by Mark Dimunation, chief of Rare Books and Special Collections at the Library of Congress, 7-8:30 p.m.
Founded in 1973, Maine Media Workshops + College is a nonprofit, nontraditional school that provides experiential education for students of all skill levels in film, photography, writing, multimedia, and design.
