The public is invited to participate in the Blue Hill Public Library Play Reading Group on Wednesday, June 15th from 6:30 to 9:00 PM at the Library. At this last play reading meeting until next fall, the group will read Terence Rattigan’s Separate Tables (1955).
Separate Tables is the collective name of two one-act plays about loneliness and desperation that take place in a hotel on the south coast of England. Table by the Window, is about the troubled relationship between a disgraced politician and his ex-wife. The second play, Table Number Seven, is about a spinster and a man posing as an upper-class retired army officer.
The group welcomes inexperienced and experienced readers alike. The only criteria are the love of plays and the joy of reading them aloud among like-minded theater fans. For further information, contact the Blue Hill Library at 374-5515 or Michael Donahue at 374-5248, or Donahue.email@example.com.
