Preceptor Beta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi recently presented two $1000 nursing scholarships to Karly Robinson and Stephanie Leclerc. These scholarships are in memory of a charter member, Beryl Borgerson. Borgerson, of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in Rockland, was a district supervisor of Maine State Public Health Nursing in the Bath-Rockland-Belfast area. The scholarship was established in her memory after her death in 1976.

Karly is from Rockland and graduated from Oceanside High School in June, 2014. She will attend the University of New England in Biddeford as a Nursing major in the Fall.

Stephanie is from Camden and is a third year nursing student at the University of Maine, Orono. She graduated from Camden Hills Regional High School. This summer, she is working at Quarry Hill Retirement Community.

Beta Sigma Phi is an international women’s sorority established in 1931 as a cultural, social, and service sorority.
