The Penobscot Valley Chapter of Maine Audubon is planning another fun evening at the Sea Dog Restaurant on the Bangor waterfront. Maine has over 20,000 black bears – more than any state east of the Mississippi. But bears are wary of humans and most Mainers seldom see one. Randy Cross is the chief bear biologist for the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife. He has been following bears into their dens and tagging cubs for 30 years. Be prepared for a wealth of fascinating stories and photos. Beverages will be available from the bar for those inclined.

Location: Sea Dog Restaurant in the River Driver event room.

Friday, February 1, 7pm

Presenter: Randy Cross, Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife

Cost: Free
