BANGOR, Maine — Diane Dickerson, CEO of The Bangor YMCA, announced that she has chosen Kristin Parker as the assistant director of Childcare & Youth Development and as the new director of Camp G. Peirce Webber.

Parker has been with The Bangor YMCA since January 2011 and has served as a teacher in childcare, a coach of Youth Sports, the assistant director of Camp G. Peirce Webber, and most recently, was the Y-Works coordinator for the Bangor YMCA’s Before & Afterschool program.

Parker, or “Catch” as her campers call her, has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine in kinesiology and physical education. This will be Parker’s fourth summer at Camp G. Peirce Webber.

“Not only does she have the experience and qualifications necessary for this new role, but she has an incredibly positive attitude, always has a smile on her face, is very creative in planning programs, and is a pure joy to be around. She is a fabulous asset to our Y team,” said Dickerson in a press release.
