BUCKSPORT, Maine — Paul’s team member Heidi Klenowski has added a second challenge in order to raise funds toward the Bangor Walk to Defeat ALS in memory of her father-in-law Paul Klenowski Sr., who died from the disease on Jan. 14, 2003.

Heidi’s challenge is that for every $10 donated to her team, she will dump a bucket of ice water on her head. As of Friday morning, she was up to 21 buckets of ice water. The ice water event will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, at Carrier’s Mainely Lobster, corner of routes 1 and 46, in Bucksport.

The Bangor Walk to Defeat ALS will be held Saturday, Aug. 23, at Hayford Park. Check-in at 8 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m. Walkers may choose 1.5 or 2.5 miles.
