Bangor student graduates basic training

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — U.S. Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Jordan A. Charpentier graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.

Charpentier is the son of James A. Charpentier and Karen M. Charpentier of Orrington, Maine; and the grandson of William Charpentier of Bangor, Maine.

He  earned a diploma in 2011 from John Bapst Memorial High School, Bangor, Maine.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
