The Bangor Public Library and Eastern Maine Development Corporation (EMDC) invite everyone to learn more about doing an effective job search. The presentation will be held March 10, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Library’s Lecture Hall.

“The Library is an integral part of many people’s job search. The Library has high-speed internet access, public computers, international resources and staff that can answer basic questions.” says Barbara McDade, Library Director. “EMDC’s presentation will explore what employers are looking for.”

The presentation will focus on helping individuals improve job search skills. Topics covered will include: resume techniques, interview do’s and don’ts, assistance with employment applications, how to utilize social media in a job search, how to present a professional persona, and more!

“Our partnership with the Library gives us a chance to connect with more people who could benefit from the advice our Career Advisors can give and, hopefully, get on a path to not just a job, but a career,” EMDC President Michael Aube said.

This presentation is free and open to the public. For more information, visit the Library’s web site at www.bangorpubliclibrary.org, or call (207) 947-8336.
