BANGOR, Maine — The Bangor High School Debate and Speech Teams are seeking your old trophies to be recycled at an upcoming tournament. Bangor will host 15-20 schools at an all-day tournament at the end of October. This will be the 23rd year that Bangor will host a tournament for schools from throughout Maine. For the last five years, Bangor has saved money by offering unique trophies donated to the team. We are looking for old trophies covering any event, from swimming to bowling, car racing to surfing. As student winners are announced at the end of our tournament, they will be invited to come forward to select their trophy from a wide variety of trophies that line the front of our stage for the awards ceremony. People willing to donate trophies are asked to email Joe Pelletier, Bangor’s Debate Coach at jpelletier@bangorschools.net, or call the History Department at 992-5558
