BANGOR, ME (January 4, 2013) – Central Maine Derby and Union Street Athletics are

teaming up to host a fundraiser to benefit anti-bullying programs in local schools. The

event, which will feature two RPM stationary bike classes hosted by certified instructors,

will be hosted at USA on Griffin Road in Bangor on Saturday, January 19th.

Interested participants can participate in one of two one-hour classes, hosted at 9 AM and

10 AM, for only $15. Healthy snacks will be provided to all participants. All proceeds

from the event benefit CMD’s “Skate, Don’t Hate” programs, which provide literature

and host in-school assemblies for local children.

“We’re excited about this event, especially because it will further our efforts to help

promote an anti-bullying and tolerance message in local schools. In addition, as athletes,

we’re passionate about promoting fitness, so USA was a natural fit to partner with for this

event,” said April McKinney, a CMD league member and the coordinator of this event said.

Anyone interested in the event can reserve a bike or get more information by calling

USA at 942-3200 or emailing fundraisingcmd@gmail.com. For more information on
