Baker Newman makes several promotions in Portland

PORTLAND, Maine – New England-based Baker Newman Noyes, one of the nation’s top 200 accounting and consulting firms, recently announced a number of promotions at its Portland location.

“Due to an increased demand, and as part of our continued commitment to providing exceptional service, we are pleased to promote some of our most talented staff,” said Ellie Baker, managing principal.

Promoted to Senior Manager in Tax Department

  • Matthew Pore, CPA, of Old Orchard Beach, earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Alfred University and a master of science degree in accounting from the University of Southern Maine.
  • Tabitha Lamontagne, CPA, of Freeport, earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting and a master of science in business, both from Husson University, and is enrolled at Bentley University working toward an MST.

Promoted to Senior Manager in Audit Department

  • Matt Prunier, CPA, of Gorham, earned a bachelor degree, magna cum laude, majoring in finance and accounting with a minor in mathematics from St. Joseph’s College.

Promoted to Manager in Tax Department

  • John Hadwen, CPA, of North Berwick, earned a bachelor of arts degree in music with a minor in accounting from the University of Southern Maine.
  • Nicholas Porto, CPA, of Fairfield, an honors college graduate, earned a bachelor of science degree, magna cum laude, in accounting and a master of science in accounting, both from the University of Maine.

Promoted to Supervising Senior in Tax Department

  • Colleen Mathews, of Gardiner, earned a bachelor of arts from Bowdoin College, a JD from University of Maine Law School, and a LL.M. from Boston University School of Law.  She is licensed to practice law in Maine.
  • Griffin Hardy, CPA, of Oakfield, earned a bachelor of science in accounting and a master of science in business from Husson University.
  • Jaclyn Johnson, CPA, of York, earned a bachelor of science in accountancy and a master of science in taxation from Bentley University.
  • Josh Lapierre, CPA, of Augusta, earned a bachelor of science in accounting and a master of science in business from Husson University.
  • Stephanie Leary, of Oneonta, New York, earned a bachelor of arts in mathematics from Syracuse University and a JD from SUNY Buffalo Law School.  She is licensed to practice law in New York State.

Promoted to Senior in Tax Department

  • Kelly Bristol, of North Yarmouth, earned a bachelor of science in accounting and an MBA from Thomas College.
  • Tatyana Nossova, CPA, of Bar Harbor, earned a bachelor of science in business administration from the University of Maine and a master of science in accounting from Northeastern University.
  • Daniel Gayer, of Cape Elizabeth, earned a bachelor of arts in biology from Harvard University and a JD, cum laude, from the University of Maine School of Law.  He is licensed to practice law in Maine.
  • Drew Blaney, of Boothbay Harbor, earned a bachelor of science, summa cum laude, in business administration with a concentration in accounting from the University of Maine.
  • Kayla Bartlett, of Rumford, earned a bachelor of science in accounting and finance from the University of Maine and a master of science in accounting from Northeastern University.

Promoted to Senior in Audit Department

  • Michael Meserve, of Kennebunkport, earned a bachelor of science in accounting from the University of New Hampshire and a master of science in accounting from Northeastern University.

Promoted to Senior in Healthcare Consulting Group

  • Stephanie Richio, of Cape Elizabeth, earned a bachelor of science in marketing from Clemson University.
