Auburn Manufacturing (AMI), a leader in fire- and heat-resistant materials, will be breaking ground on May 6 for an expansion of their facility at the Kittyhawk Industrial Park in Auburn. The additional manufacturing space will allow AMI to continue its current growth and implement lean principals in both their Auburn and Mechanic Falls plants. “We’ve been planning this expansion for several years and with our growing product line, and interest rates where they are, this was the perfect time to do it,” stated the company’s owner Kathie Leonard who hopes to expand the facility again in another 3-5 years.
The groundbreaking ceremony will begin at 10:00 am on May 6 at 130 First Flight Drive in Auburn. For more information please contact Judy Paolini at firstname.lastname@example.org or (207) 871-1813.
