BRUNSWICK, Maine — The 10×10 Benefit Art Exhibit and Sale, co-sponsored by Arts Are Elementary and Points of View Artists, is offering a raffle of a work by the prominent Midcoast artists Dr. Will Wilkoff. All proceeds from the tickets go toward the Arts Are Elementary program, which works to bring art into the schools and community of young people in Brunswick.

Raffle tickets may be purchased online. In person sales and the final drawing will take place on the evening of the annual 10×10 event Friday, Sept. 26, at the Curtis Memorial Library.

Wilkoff’s painting that will be raffled, “Pemaquid Bell House,” is a water-based acrylic gouache applied to a one-eighth inch Russian birch plywood panel and set in a “floating” frame handmade of waxed poplar. This classic Maine waterscape measures at 32 inches wide by 12 and one-half inches high.

Since its inception in 2008, the 10×10 Benefit has raised $58,000 for Arts Are Elementary.

Created in 1980, Arts Are Elementary is dedicated to educating and inspiring the children of Brunswick by bringing performers, artists, writers and musicians into the schools and community. Through AAE, every kindergarten through 5th grade classroom gets its own resident artist.
