Forest City, Maine–Rain or shine, The Woodie Wheaton Land Trust invites all friends, neighbors, members and guests to the Annual Meeting at 1pm Eastern on August 10th at the Land Trust building in Forest City, Maine.
Woodie Wheaton Board Chair Elbridge Cleaves will welcome guests and present an overview of the special qualities that have drawn us all to the border waters of the Chiputneticook Lakes region.
Guest speaker will be Thomas Curren, former director of the Pew Charitable Trust’s Northeast Land Trust Consortium, who will present a brief history of the growth of the volunteer-led conservation movement in America.
Come hear a recap of this summer’s activities and enjoy refreshments that will follow. Entertainment will be provided by Irish/Celtic Fiddler Kathleen Gorey-McSorley who has thrilled audiences in Ireland, the U.S. and various parts of Canada. Her music, dancing and vocals will have you tapping your feet and dancing in the aisles.
