Advocating for Animals in Maine Grassroots Meetings (York)

Posted Aug. 01, 2014, at 12:18 p.m.

Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Location: York Public Library, 15 Long Sands Rd, York, ME 03909

Animals cannot speak up for themselves, so it’s up to us to be their voice.

Please join us for a free grassroots meeting to discuss current issues affecting Maine’s animals, including the upcoming bear referendum, and learn how you can help advocate for animals. At these free meetings taking place across the state, we’ll discuss tried and true tips for making a difference for animals on the ground in Maine.

If you’re concerned about puppy mills, wildlife protection, farm animals, or generally creating a more compassionate Maine, please attend a meeting near you to get involved and hear how you can help.

RSVP at http://action.humanesociety.org/site/Calendar?id=112921&view=RSVP to lend your voice for animals in Maine and beyond. Contact Katie Hansberry at khansberry@humanesociety.org if you have additional questions.
